My name is Kanan Matsuura. I’m a 3rd year at Uranohoshi Girls’ High School in Shizuoka prefecture.
I’m super happy so many people have heard our music since we became school idols.
We in Aqours live in a coastal town in Shizuoka that looks out over Suruga Bay.
It’s a friendly, beautiful place in which you can see Mt. Fuji really well. It doesn’t have the liveliness or splendor of Tokyo, but it’s a town with a simple charm and kind atmosphere.
In a place like this, we were unsure how well something like school idols would be received. Now, it’s gotten to the point where people will call out to me saying, “You’re Kanan from Aqours, right?”
I guess it’s like a pleasant surprise! I mean, we’re able to smile and sing thanks to all of the people that help support us.
A new stage that’s about to begin. I have no idea what’s waiting there, but…
With us 9, there’s nothing to be scared of no matter what comes our way.
